Online Customer Support system plays a very important part in establishing, maintaining and fostering business relation between the vendor and an existing customer. It also provides leads to bring in more consumers. The reason for it being so vital to the existence of business organization feature are many, these reasons are enlisted as follows:

They provide a user-friendly interface: The user or consumer finds it a lot easier and convenient to seek the assistance from an online customer support system rather than personally visit a service centre and get his query resolved. Visiting a service centre just for query is a simple waste of time and resources , on the other hand through online customer support system he can simply log on to a live chat system or compose a simple e-mail and describe his problem and within a very short time he gets the answer to his enquiry . A consumer can easily provide details about the problem he is facing and send it to customer support system, which on their end after being provided with a well written problem can easily troubleshoot the issue.

Quick Response time: The online customer support systems have quick response time. It is so because these online customer support systems are generally covered under stringent Service Level Agreement (SLA’s) which have pre-defined response times and if a customer’s query is not attended within this specified time than severe penalty can be imposed on the hosting site. In addition to this, the performance of online customer support system is well monitored and documented by routine recording of Quality of Service (QoS).

Cheap Solution for the business: The success of a business depends upon the customer base. Consumer is the sole reason for the existence of a business .In order to retain and increase the customer base, a business should facilitate the processes so that the customer is happy. For this they provide all form of support that help customer in using a product or service. Online support solutions are much cheaper as compared to other form of support.
